Abstract
This thesis deals with the design of Non-explosive quick coupler which is designed for environments of underground mines. The design is focused on the electrical part of the device. The theoretical chapters are focused on the theory of the explosion, a division of explosive atmospheres and methods used in explosion protection. The following chapter describes and analyzes the properties of already existing and used quick couplers. Thesis includes solution of the design and calculation. The calculation is further checked primarily with respect to the force effects of fault current with respect to the thermal effects. The last chapter deals with the verification of the correctness of the design with modeling using finite element method.
