Abstract

Generation Y is going to represent 75 % of global labour force in 2025. While requirements of this generation vary significantly from previous ones, czech working culture is not evolving as much. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to identify elements which are not yet a completely normal part of the corporate culture and which responds to the needs of the millennials. The analysis of the attitudes of generations Y and X towards these elements was performed with a questionnaire from the areas that had been judged as the most important for the millennials: work flexibility and personal development. In spite of the fact that no major differences were found between the attitudes of generation Y and X, recommendation for realization of some of the elements could be estimated. Specificly it were compressed hours, homeoffice, quiet room and learning from colleagues. Career break was recommended as well but with some additional restrictions.
