Abstract

REJMANOVÁ, D.: Reconversion castle grounds in Veselí nad Moravou on social services center with a proposal homes and other facilities for people in need of low and moderate intensities of support: Diploma thesis. The aim of the diploma thesis was to find new use of the dilapidated castle, which is cultural heritage, with its connection to its surroundings and the rest of the city Veselí nad Moravou. Part of the solution is the modification of the area of the neighboring dock and its ambient area, where existing buildings were demolished in the past and which are not yet used. The thesis deals with the use of the area of the castle, which is designed as a social center, with facilities for the care of people with handicap, day care center, other rentable spaces for cultural events, spaces for use by local associations and the wider schema_dspacedb. Area of castle includes workshops and a Cafe which are offering job opportunities for clients. Another part of the thesis is the design of barrier-free apartment buildings for people with low and medium need of support and adaptation of their surrounding areas. The thesis proposes a solution which is the use of the building of the castle and its connection with the surrounding areas and other designed buildings so as to form a functionally connected whole and at the same time be able to function independently, in accordance with the historic preservation principles.
