Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a laboratory exercise for RF signal spectrum measurement with using spectrum analyzer. It includes practical production of signals generator whose outputs are used within this exercise. The thesis is divided into several parts, where are explained the methods of frequency spectrum analysis with using analog and digital spectrum analyzers. There is also described the signals generator, the design and implementation through to the analysis of the frequency spectrum of generated signals. The laboratory exercise includes the measuring of radio signal intensity of radio stations and the measuring frequency spectrum of RF signals with using oscilloscope and calculation of fast Fourier transform and spectrum analyser based on heterodyne signals mixing with filtration. Students will learn to understand the connection between the display of the signal in time and frequency domains.
