Abstract
The subject of the diploma thesis is the preparation of an architectural study of a building in the newly growing part of the city of Prague's Holešovice, Prague Marina. The proposed space is embedded in the newly emerging urban structure of the city, designed on a blind arm of the Vltava River. The aim of the work is to design an optimal space for social life, culture and a meeting place in the center of the capital. Part of the solution is the connection of the building to the urban structure of the place and public space. In the context of the current issue, the study applies several approaches, strengthening the infrastructure, increasing the accessibility of the territory for local residents and visitors and thus creating a multifunctional public space and a comprehensive architectural project. The result of the diploma thesis is the design of the building, which is intended to serve the general public and is functionally divided into gallery spaces, a yacht club, a restaurant and a hotel.
