Systém pro zachytávání EPG informací ve vysílání digitální televize

Abstract

Digital Video Broadcasting is very popular broadcasting technology today as in the world so in the Czech republic. As digitalization penetrated in radio and television broadcasting it brings many advantages from the user point of view. It allows transfer large quantities of information and so it is possible to broadcast to each TV show several audio tracks (multilingual audio, more audio channels for better sound experience) for example. In addition, there is a possibility attach additional information i.e. Electronic Program Guide (EPG) for example. EPG system, I will address in my work.

Goal of this work is to describe EPG coding in Digital Video Broadcasting and benefits it can bring to its users as well. Part of the work is computer program designed to decode EPG informations streamed to TCP/IP network via existing software called getstream-poempel.
