Analýza Voynichova rukopisu z pohledu crowdsourcingu

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje analýze Voynichova rukopisu za pomoci crowdsourcingu. Cílem bylo nejprve zmapovat aktuální situaci na poli crowdsouringu a následně navrhnout a vytvořit uživatelského rozhraní pro snazší a přehlednější reprezentaci výsledků sesbíraných pomocí již existujícího crowdsourcingového projektu. Vzhledem k tomu, že nebylo možné všechna takto získaná data jednoduše vizualizovat pro další analýzu, v návaznosti na vytvoření a spuštění tohoto projektu se tedy přirozeně objevila potřeba data zpracovat do přehledné formy, což se v rámci praktické části diplomové práce povedlo. Výsledkem praktické části je tedy webová aplikace, která umožňuje kvalifikovaným osobám efektivně procházet a třídit informace a poznatky od lidí, kteří se podíleli na crowdsourcingu vedoucímu k možnému rozluštění rukopisu. Výstupem práce je i teoretická část, které popisuje crowdsourcing a jeho možnosti využití pro vědecký výzkum.

This diploma thesis is focused on analysis of Voynich manuscript with the help of crowdsourcing. The goal was to first explore the current situation on the field of crowdsourcing and then to design and create a user interface that would serve as a convenient representation of outcomes gathered in an already existing crowdsourcing project. Knowing the fact that the obtained data were not easy to visualize in their provided format, the need for a better way to process them was an obvious next step, which was completed while working on this thesis. Therefore the result of the practical part is a web application, that allows qualified experts to effectively sort and classify the information provided by the project's contributors. All of which may lead to finally understanding the manuscript and its language. There is also a theoretical section as a part of the thesis, which describes crowdsourcing and its possible usage for scientific research.
