Abstract

The dissertation deals with the preparation and characterization of antimicrobial polymeric composite materials based on polylactide. The main goal of the work was to prepare antimicrobial fillers based on carbon and silicate materials and antimicrobial composite material suitable for biomedical applications, in which the ability to degrade and antimicrobial properties were monitored. Five fillers were prepared, for which the antimicrobial effect was investigated using the disk method. These fillers were subsequently used to prepare biodegradable antibacterial polymer layers suitable for biomedical applications.
