Využití strusky z EOP na výrobu betonu

Abstract

The bachelor thesis evaluates the use of steelmaking slag as a possible partial replacement of materials for concrete production. The aim was to verify its chemical stability and environmental safety. The solid phase was analyzed using the XRS method and sulfur content determination. The release of metals (Zn, Fe, Cu) was determined from long-term rainwater leachates using AAS. The measured minimal sulfur content (0.09%) guarantees the future volume stability of the material. Leachate analyses confirmed that the monitored heavy metals are firmly bound in the slag and do not transition into the solution. EAF slag is environmentally safe and fully meets the requirements for use in construction.
