Abstract

Massive Rock falls negatively affect the landscape, constructions and infrastructure. The massive Rock fall is charactersied by sudden movements of loose blocks, where the free-fall down the steep rock walls is predominant. To reduce the negative impact it is necessary to assess the risk of the Massive Rock falls and evaluate the necessary for security. For security, we should understand the full process of the massive Rock fall, from the possible factors of the origin, to local natural conditions and geology, in order to evaluate the risk of what all massive Rock falls can cause. This dissertation deals with the massive Rock fall in the bike trail area of Landek-Koblov. The falling rocks threatens local new bike trail and also threatens people using the trail. rock. In the future, we can expect further massive Rock fall fractures and landslides of weathered rocks, therefore it is necessary to remediate the rock wall.
