Abstract

This thesis describes the public health insurance in the Czech Republic. All citizens should know their rights and dutiesresulted from the health insurance. One of the objectives of this thesis is to explain the issue theoretically and practically based on concrete examples. The thesis is summarizes history of health insurance and characteristics of public health insurance system. Definition of health insurance payers are further explained as well as the rights and obligations of the insured. The practical part focuses on optimizing the amount of health insurance of employees and self - employed . There is also a comparison of the programs of the biggest and smallest health instance institutions in the Czech Republic. Bachelor thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the issue of health insurance that can help clients identify the issue.
