Možnosti aplikace slévárenských odprašků při přípravě bentonitových formovacích směsí

Abstract

The presented diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the possibility of utilizing foundry bentonite dust in the preparation of green sand moulding mixture with bentonite, with the aim of reducing the amount of toxic and hazardous waste disposed of in landfills. The thesis includes a theoretical part that describes the fundamental concepts related to moulding mixtures, their preparation, control of properties, and the formation of foundry dust. The practical part describes a series of experiments focused on verifying the possibility of using foundry dust in the production of moulding mixtures, determining the technological and mechanical properties of these mixtures, and evaluating the influence of these mixtures on the quality of castings produced in them.
