Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze current training and development system in a selected organization including investigation of employees` attitude towards the system, so that improvement measures could be suggested based on acquired information. In the theoretical part of this thesis, basic concepts of training and development are clarified including the essence of organizational training and its connection to other human resource management activities. Furthermore, a systematic approach to training and development is detailed. In the practical application part of the thesis, it is all about the analysis of current training and development system in the selected organization based on information from a semi structured interview with a personnel officer and a head of one of the departments in the organization and from internal material study. Employee attitudes were investigated by way of a questionnaire survey. Based on acquired information, possible steps to system improvements are suggested.
