Studium sorpčních vlastností upravených jílových minerálů ze skupiny smektitů na modelových vzorcích vybraných léčiv

Abstract

The thesis is focused on the removal of selected drugs from aqueous solutions by adsorption process using modified clay minerals. The theoretical part deals with the description of clay minerals of smectite type, selected drugs (ampicillin, lamotrigine, theophylline), mechanisms of adsorption and used analytical instrumental methods. In the experimental part, the procedures of sorbent modification and adsorption of drugs from pre-prepared solutions are described. This section also summarizes the results obtained from experimental measurements, which were used firstly to characterize the sorbents used, and secondly in the discussion of the construction of sorption isotherms and molecular modelling that contributed to a realistic description of the possible sorption of the drug into the interlayer or onto the sorbent surface.
