Abstract

This dissertation deals with pyrolysis methods for an energy recovery of municipal waste and their environmental impact assessment. The theoretical part deals with waste, specifically with municipal waste and its recovery and disposal. In a broader context, the concern of plastic waste and its treatment are being addressed. The fundamental part of this dissertation is the issue of energy utilization of municipal waste and particularly pyrolysis technologies and their environmental impact assessment. The practical part is focused on environmental impact assessment of a specific pyrolysis facility.
