Abstract
In this thesis deals with the importance of selective diagnostic culture media in the study of bacterial microorganisms and observing the growth of selected bacterial strains on specific media. The first part describes the influence of the most important physical and chemical factors and components of selective diagnostic culture media for microbial growth. In the next part are characterized the basic types of culture media, their distribution, examples of raw materials for the preparation of culture media and the composition of some basic media. The following are listed significant selective and diagnostic media, broken down according to what industry are used. Further processing of their importance in the study of the morphology of bacteria and a way to describe the morphology of the colonies cultivated crops. In the last part the experiment results are reported, which are verified by growth and morphological properties of selected bacterial strains on certain culture media.
