Abstract

In the presented thesis there is the assessment of the influence of the type of biomass gasification on the quality of produced gas for cogeneration. The first section summarizes information about the fuels used, their characteristic properties, and gasification technology. Then there is explained the gasification process and the undergoing reactions. The next section describes the experimental equipment and methodology of the experiments. Then there is a summary of the course of measurements and samplings to determine the composition of the fuel composition and calorific value of energy gas and tar content in the gas. Based on the analysis of samples is compared composition of the fuel (pellets, hay, rice and wheat straw) and its influence on the quality of the gas produced by gasification. This is followed by a comparison of manufactured gases, their calorific value and content of tar with regards to demands of cogeneration unit. In conclusion there is evaluation of which of these fuels are the most suitable for cogeneration.
