Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of logistic flow in the machining section of Siemens, s.r.o., Plant Elektromotory Frenštát, using Witness simulation programme. The theoretical part sums up knowledge from the area of logistics and dynamic simulation, as drawn from specialised literary sources. The practical part begins with the description of the history, development and present condition of Siemens, s.r.o., Plant Elektromotory Frenštát. Then the thesis shows how individual variants of dynamic simulations were created using several kinds of data sets, resulting in the selection of the best possible variant together with proposals, suggesting how to attain this status under the current conditions in the company. The final part of the thesis summarises the proposals and measures contributing to the improvement of the existing utilisation of time in the logistic flow in the machine shop.
