Aplikace matematických metod při hodnocení zmetkovosti ve slévárenské výrobě

Abstract

Foundry production is seen as one of the most demanding production processes. Final cast production involves physical, chemical, mechanical and thermal processes. Foundry also requires preparing of model, casts, cores and melted metal. It is a wide complex of technologically demanding operations and processes. Current Czech foundries work under highly competitive conditions that have a major impact on prices of required casts. Therefore the producers are trying to find ways to cut down production costs. One of the major aspects of foundry production is disagreeable casts that can significantly affect profitability of the order. Occurrence of dissensions and defects is a key factor mainly for small-series casts productions. Producers try to determine natural amount of scrap that is affected by many factors. The thesis is focused on application of mathematical tools in evaluating of low quality foundry production. The aim of the thesis is to design a methodology for assessing the risk of possible occurrence of disagreeable casts based on executed analysis in a specific foundry company.
