Abstract

The subject of this thesis is to evaluate the issues of public and private partnerships in the Czech Republic and proposal how to achieve better results in this branch. The thesis is divided into five chapters. Introductory chapter describes the target of work, used methods and hypothesis for further verification. The content of the second chapter is an explanation of public and private partnerships, main advantages and disadvantages of this relationship, typology of projects and risks that may arise in the framework of cooperation. The third chapter describes public and private partnerships in Europe, consequently in the Czech Republic and in the selected European state – Slovak Republic. The fourth chapter evaluates cooperation of public and private sector both in Europe and in the Czech Republic. It contains also recommendations leading to better results in branch. The final chapter summarizes the findings from each chapter.
