Measurement of the Dynamic Torque-Speed Characteristics of an Asynchronous Motor

Abstract

This thesis is about measuring the Dynamic Torque-Speed Characteristics of an Asynchronous motor. The measuring method for determination of the Torque-Speed Characteristics of an induction machine used in 'Machine and Devices' classes performed at the Technical University of Ostrava. The torque-speed characteristic is determined by recording and differentiating speed signals during the starting. Data is gathered using a measuring system and processed in custom software built with a Lab view on a computer. Compared with other measuring methods, the advantages and shortages of this sort of measurement are given, and measuring equipment deployment is described.
