Abstract

The principles of the Industry 4.0 concept cannot be fulfilled without the use of cloud technologies. One of the key technologies in Industry 4.0 concept are big data and its analysis. The diploma thesis deals with cloud technologies in big data processing. The introductory sections discuss the basic concepts and possibilities of application of cloud technologies in the concept of Industry 4.0. The following chapters describe the basic functions of cloud technologies and an overview of selected cloud service providers. Microsoft is selected from the available cloud technology providers and its Microsoft Azure platform is analyzed in more detail. The diploma thesis also includes the practical use of a selected cloud platform. A suitable dataset was found, the goals and procedure of data processing from the searched dataset were determined, and finally the results of the evaluation of selected data were presented. Data processing was performed using the selected Microsoft Azure cloud service. The results of the processing of selected data were evaluated.
