Abstract

This diploma thesis specifies a position of Fire Rescue Service (FRS) in the public administration system of the Czech Republic. It deals with the position of FRS as a safety body. It specially focuses on the position of its members in relation to tasks of the safety body and tasks within the service of public administration. The main part of the thesis discusses de lege ferenda the advantages and disadvantages of the current organisation of FRS and also studies the possible ways of legislative and organisational development. The author gathered information from period documents and laws including explanatory reports, parliamentary debates, the analysis of legislative texts and also the interviews with people who specialize in these issues.
