Abstract

The subject matter of the thesis is analysis of possible deficiencies at ordering input material for production department cut shapes in company VITKOVICE STEEL, a.s. and defining possible causes of material waste. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part The theoretical part describes company VITKOVICE STEEL, a.s. and the production department cut shapes. It further deals with theoretical basis of solved themes. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the description of the current status of ordering input material, analysis of shortcomings of ordered input material for cut shapes and based on the results of analysis is proposed the solutions for better utilization of material for production. In the last part are proposed solutions evaluated and results are summarized.
