Abstract
This thesis deals with superalloys. In the theoretical part is briefly introduced nickel and it´s alloys. The theoretical part introduces superalloys itself as well, their properties and characteristics. There is also described investment casting, which still has been mainly used for a production of gas turbine` s blades. The practical part is strongly focused
on material analysis of two gas turbine blades. These are made from superalloy Inconel 713LC. One of these blades is broken. Based on material analysis will be compared
a quality of these two samples of Inconel 713LC and determine a possible root cause
of degradation.
