Návrh FBG senzora na meranie vybraných parametrov v koľajovej doprave

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a functional FBG sensor using a Bragg grating located on an optical fiber. The theoretical part deals with light, light transmission through the optical fiber, as well as individual light properties that affect the transmission of light / information through the optical fiber, such as refractive index, numerical aperture, absorption, scattering, attenuation. We also discuss Snell's law of refraction, total internal reflection, types of optical fibers. I also studied the theory of fiber optic sensors and also the theory of bragg grating. In the practical part of this bachelor's thesis, I focused on the design of FBG sensors, their practical implementation and their subsequent testing on a test rail at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, later also in real rail transport.
