Biometrické ověřování identity

Abstract

This thesis describes biometrics as a scientific discipline and characterizes chosen biometric methods. Main part of the work is focused on fingerprints. Fingerprints are the oldest biometric method. Algorithms for identification and verification of individuals are expanded in applications of a various characters for a long time. Critical point for the next stages of processing is quality of input image. Fingerprint image enhancement method using Gabor filtering is described in Thesis. This work contains description of minutiae detection and fingerprint matching. An application for identification and verification of individuals using fingerprints was implemented in C#.
