Abstract

The submitted diploma thesis deals with the current position of firefighter-paramedic in the structure of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, their job description and po-tencial futher development of this position in order to ensure better medical assistance provi-ded by the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. In the process of setting the course, several issues are taken into consideration – competence of such firefighters, form of educati-on required for this specialisation, maintaining their skills and legal matters. This thesis offers several potential options including evaluation of personal, financial, legal and time demands.
