Abstract

This diploma thesis consists of manufacture and assembly of a trunk lid made of carbon fibre. The first part contains a summary of the current state of composite parts production, their use in automotive industry and division of car bodies. The following section details the functional elements and procedures used in the production of the part. The practical part describes the complete production of the trunk lid from the design of the StudentCar designers. The process of preparing the molds, the lamination itself and the subsequent modifications and adjustments of the product are described here. At the end of the work, basic kinematic analises of the trunk hood mechanism are performed, which are based on its total weight.
