Abstract

The Development of the Traffic Network in the Region of Ústí nad Labem, its Contribution for the Traffic Service and its Influence on the Environment In this work is processed the significance of the development of public road system in Ústí – Region. In the first part of the work is an overview of the actual state of public road system in Ústí – Region. In the next part is processed an overview of the accident frequency in the Czech Republic, in Ústí – Region and on the D-8 highway in 2008 with its consequences. In the next part is processed the influence of road transport on the environment. In the following part is processed the history of construction of the D-8 highway. At the end of this work is described an evaluation of the development of public road system, especially the finishing construction of the D-8 highway across the Czech Central Mountains and its commissioning.
