Abstract
The thesis deals with the testing of non-metallic biopotential polypyrrole (PPy) electrodes and polyaniline (PANI) lead wires (conductors) as to the creation of image artefacts and the ability to capture and transmit the ECG signal during imagining examinations. The theory section of the thesis is devoted to the description of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imagining (MRI). In the empirical section of the thesis, the PPy electrodes and PANI conductors are tested with phantoms, volunteers and an animal as to the creation of image artefacts and the ability to measure the ECG signal during X-Ray, CT and MRI examinations.
