Abstract
Diploma thesis deals with modulation formats and line codes for free space optics. The thesis contains practical measurements with modulations PSK and QAM in optical wireless connection. It also contains simulations of QPSK and 4-QAM in the software Optisystem. The optical beam was modulated and demodulated using USRP devices in practical measurements. These modulations have been selected because of their more frequent deployment in fiber optics and therefore it is intended to test their behavior in FSO communications. OOK modulation is still commonly used modulation and in this thesis serves as a basis for comparison with PSK and QAM modulations.
