Stanislav Lichorobiec, Ph.D. The purpose of the thesis was to perform a safety study of ballistic resistance of selected padlocks., There were other types of destructive methods chosen to disrupt the security function of the padlocks to compare their durability. The theoretical part describes legislation, basic information about padlocks and the science of ballistics. The main part was market research and its evaluation, which selected locks for ballistic studies and other tests. Selected locks have been subjected to individual tests. The final part of the work is devoted to the comparison of the data found and their evaluation in relation to the materials from which the locks were made.
