Abstract

This thesis examines the influence of sulfate corrosion on the properties of concrete. For the purposes of this thesis was created five concrete mixtures. They were determined basic mechanical and physical properties of the prepared concrete. The samples prepared from a batch of these were exposed to aggressive environments rich on sulfates. Aggressive environment was created by diluting sulfuric acid so that the amount corresponds to requirements of standard EN 206. The samples exposed to aggressive environments was then chemically analyzed and were monitored for changes due to sulfuric acid corrosion. Also, the mechanical properties were determined on concrete degraded with sulfate corrosion.
