Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the supply chain management of packaging materials in industrial company. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state of inventory management and propose measures to improve the situation. The theoretical part deals with the issue of stocks and their management. The practical part contains a basic description of the production activities of an industrial enterprise in which inventory management analyzes are applied. After the analysis using the ABC and XYZ methods, the amount of signal and insurance inventory is determined for selected packaging materials. The results indicate problematic areas of inventory management in an industrial company, for which recommended procedures are proposed to improve the current state of inventory management.
