Abstract

This thesis is concerned with using pyrometallurgical methods to obtain selected non-ferous metals from metal-bearing waste. In the introductory part of thesis is developed an extensive review of domestic and foreign literature on the issue of processing flue dust and sludge with pyrometallurgical methods. In the second part of the thesis are general informations about plasma and summary possibilities of its use for the disposal and recycling of waste. Information is collected from publications and articles on research and development of plasma metallurgy. In the experimental part was performed two sets of experiments with oxyvit sludge and mixtures of metal-bearing waste. Then followed a description of the plasma workplace and own measurement results and conclusions evaluating the usability and effectiveness of the use of low-temperature plasma to process metal-bearing waste.
