Abstract

The submitted bachelor thesis deals with the region of Slovácko where the Jožka Úprka was born and spent most of his life. In this thesis natural, cultural and touristic attractions of this area are specified and the life of the painter is described. In the second chapter natural conditions of Slovácko from the geological, geomorphological, hydrological, climatic and biological point of view are described. The third chapter is devoted to Úprka. This chapter describes his life and mentions the most famous works of the painter. The fourth chapter of the thesis deals with touristic attractions of the region which are associated with the name of Úprka, and in the fifth chapter touristic routes which are based on the previous chapters are described. The routes should interest a wide range of tourists, hence the routes include also places which are not associated with Úprka. Therefore, the fifth chapter of this thesis is devoted to the description of these places.
