Abstract

Target of this work is desripton of experince with Exchange of original sensors on rolling mill with IFM electronic GmbH sensors and assessment of this proces. Exchange was done on rolling mill Steckel. There is also a description of the technology of rolling mills, problems with starting operation from the point of products quality and importance of function connected with sensors on rolling mill. Special care is provided in application of new products (IFM electronic GmbH) and procedures in measurment on existing devices. Specificaly hydraulice regulation of thickness HAGC. Part of the work is dedicated to description of IFM electronic GmbH sensors of non-electric values, measurment of non-electric values – history and present – with special orientation on pressure measurment. Emphasis is on sensors in entry point of automatization in industry, used type, technology and processing of output signals. Attention is also given to development and comparison of open communication protocols.
