Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with optimization methods direct solid sampling of metals in fly ash using atomic absorption spectrometry. This method is developed abroad since 1995, in the Czech Republic is applied. The direct analysis of solid samples is more sensitive [19,20] and manipulation with samples reduced to a minimum. It is not necessary dissolve samples, usual sample preparation steps, such as homogenization of heterogeneous materials are not needed. The contamination of analyte and using reagents and laboratory ware are kept minimized too. So the use of potentially hazardous reagents is avoided together with subsequent waste problem.
The bachelor thesis deals with direct solid sampling of metals in fly ash from hazardous waste incinerators and municipal waste incinerators. According to the bibliographic research method of solid sampling of heavy metals, lead and cadmium, is tested and optimized. Optimization involves choosing wavelength, modifier, correction background and optimization of furnace temperature of pyrolysis and atomization. Then the results are compared with results of other methods.
