Abstract
EU energy policy is focused on creating a competitive internal energy market offering quality service at low prices, on developing renewable energy sources, on reducing dependence on imported fuels, and on doing more with a lower consumption of energy.
Renewable sources of energy are essential alternatives to fossil fuels. Their use reduces greenhouse gas emissions, diversifies energy supply and reduces dependence on unreliable and volatile fossil fuel markets.
The goal of my Diploma thesis is to describe energetic balance in the European Union and determine important factors, which participate in creation EU energy policy. Further describe use of RES in selected countries of EU.
This diploma thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter
is concerned with action of formulation energy policy on European level, legal acts for support RES. Second chapter is focused on energy balance of the EU and evaluate possibilities of usage RES.
Final part is concentrated on position of usage RES in picked countries.
