Přístaviště a muzeum Praha - Holešovice

Abstract

The master's thesis considers the location of the marina a museum in Prague that is located at the cut-off branch of the Vltava River which is a part of the city district of Holešovice. Today, Holešovice harbor is mostly used only for mooring ships in the case of floods, therefore the water surface doesn’t have easy accessibility. The aim of the diploma thesis is the preparation of an architectural study of the proposed buildings and public space in the vicinity, which will connect the area with the water surface. The connection will respond to the need for the mooring of ships and civic amenities for incoming visitors. Buildings with suitable civic amenities will be designed as part of the space, which connects the entire complex. As a result, a pleasant full-fledged unit serving for recreation will be created.
