Abstract

This thesis deals with the design and assessment of the carrier portal tower for high voltage system. Internal forces, which are caused by the load acting on the structure, was determined in the software Scia Engineer, for assessments of construction was used the software Microsoft Excel. In this thesis there is also evaluated the possibility of using the above-strength steels in the design of steel lattice towers in conductivity systems. Towers for high voltage system are usually made of steel grade S235, sometimes of steel grade S355. There was used steel S420, S450 and S460 in the parametric study. The parametric study was made from both the static and the economic point of view.
