Abstract

The United States of America and the European Union represent the most developed economies in the world, especially in a recent time. Their key factors are high level of development and high standard of living. Moreover, their cooperation is also in good conditions. The goal of bachelor thesis is to evaluate and analyse the trade efficiency of the United states of America and the European Union. Additionally, it deals with the recent situation of trade relations and possible future progress. It is also focused on comparison of commodity structures of both economies in the period 2004-2013. During the period 2004-2013 the United States of America becomes the biggest trade partner of the European Union. The international trade of the EU increased rapidly, but on the other hand the United States of America has to face with to a high deficit.
