Abstract

The master thesis “Immediate Vicinity NKP of the Valtice Palace” prepares a design at a level of a case study in the area of the Valtice Chateau. It is a sensitive addition to a protected landscape area, especially in the chateau’s immediate vicinity and in the lower part of the chateau park. The design of the chateau’s immediate vicinity presents a representative entrance expanded with a pool with two fountains corresponding to the dignity of a Baroque chateau. The geometrically shaped chateau’s immediate vicinity leaves access from the north side of the castle’s gate and adds a new entry from the southern side directly to the lower part of the chateau park that is an urbanistic extension of the classicist style. The thesis also deals with the lower part of the chateau park, concretely with the solution of a court defined by the buildings of the castle depository and the orangery, supplemented by the relocated herb garden including a layout of a static transport.
