Hotel u řeky Ostravice ve Frýdku-Místku

Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on the design of a hotel situated beneath Frýdek Castle in Frýdek-Místek, which includes conference facilities as a complementary function. The site in question is currently only partially utilized, yet it offers significant potential due to its location near the Ostravice River, the city’s historic core, and important urban landmarks such as the Polárka sports hall and the Frýda shopping center. In addition, the area directly adjoins locations that regularly host festivals, sporting events, and other cultural activities. The aim of the design is to revitalize the area and create an attractive and functional complex offering comfortable accommodation together with spaces for conferences and social events. At the same time, the hotel is intended to support the development of tourism and allow visitors to stay directly in Frýdek-Místek without the need to travel to the Beskydy Mountains or to Ostrava. The proposal will contribute to the revitalization of the city center and strengthen its appeal for both residents and visitors.
