Turistický mapový portál Beskyd

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to create a tourist map portal of The Beskydy Mountains. Web portal is the main access point of the forthcoming tourist information system Beskydska magistrala in the network environment WWW. Orientačně-informační systém Beskydské magistály will provide visitors with comprehensive information on groomed cross country ski trails and selected marked bicycle lanes in The Beskydy Mountains. Furthermore, various information on attractions and events in different locations and their surroundings, information about events organized by a variety of practical information for visitors. Map application and all proposed web portal will be linked to the online snow groomers monitoring, web cameras and meteorological stations. OpenLayers JavaScript library is used to implement this application, PostgreSQL with PostGIS extension for working with spatial data, for the site construction on the client side technology DHTML (HTML + JavaScript + CSS) and ASP.NET to implement server.
