Abstract

This thesis deals with the importace of coal mining waste deposits and the subsequent use of the material from these repositories and the recklamation of the area upon completion. The teoretical knowladge is confronted by the autor in his work with what he has learned from the practical knowladge of specific repositories in the Karvina-CSA dump sites and the Pilnok dump, whitch are part of OKD, a.s. Plant for Preparedness. The authorś findings are illustrated by pictures and tables. In the work the author analyzes the posible risks of operation on the ponds and subsequent reclamation of these areas after the disposal of the mining waste sites. In introduces legislation on the disposal of mining waste, the use of storage materials and the self-certification of products.
