Abstract

Doctoral working come out from the theoretical analysis of processes at waste incineration plants and focuses on the problem of energy evaluation of their technological function in accordance with the legislation, or with CSN 60 3090 Thermal units for the removal/disposal of waste and energy use. In line with the aim of the thesis is also devoted particular attention operated municipal waste incinerator ZEVO in Malešice from Praque services ltd. Company. A brief description of the incinerator and its technological equipment is shown. The experimental part of the work focuses on the design of the experiment to the incinerator operating in Prague, namely an incinerator/boiler No. 1 Measured operational experiment was then carried out in order to obtain/verify all data and parameters needed for the evaluation of all items of income and distribution of heat to the combustion process and build the energy balance of the process. From the results obtained it is evident that the incinerator for municipal waste operates with high efficiency and can be included between the incinerator defined as a device for energy recovery. Part of the operational experiment was also verifying emissions of substances generated during the process and the effectiveness of various stages of cleaning. This measurement was carried out by an accredited company. The measurement results showed almost all pollutants reliability of the proposed system, flue gas cleaning and in accordance with applicable legislation. Finally, an evaluation formula for energy rating incineration of municipal waste arising from the Waste Act and stated that it does not respect the basic principles of the thermodynamic efficiency of the energy system and thus cannot be considered to determine energy efficiency according to the relationship to be reliable.
