Abstract

This thesis describes the design of cyclist guesthouse in the picturesque mountain town of Štramberk, which is an ideal starting point for cycling. Cyclist guesthouse "Ve dvoře" is located on the former "manor courtyard" place and builds on the original architectural object. Cyclist guesthouse consists of a main building and the kitchen. In the main building, there are guesthouse background facilities and guest rooms, which are located in the attic. The kitchen building contains a restaurant, kitchen and warehouses. The main building connects seamlessly with the adjacent farmhouse and along with kitchen building, it forms partially enclosed courtyard with a resting area with outdoor seating, bicycle racks, benches and others. The buildings are bricked with gabled roofs covered with fiber-cement roofing. The facade is made of stone and wood, a typical material for the local environment. The result of this thesis is a low-energy guesthouse that properly fits into the local landscape and offers comfort for both tourists and local residents.
