Abstract
Cholasta M.; „Material design of the wind power plant W2000SPG“; Ostrava: Department of Materials Engineering; Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, VŠB-Technical University, 2010. Bachelor`s thesis, Supervisor prof. Ing.Vlastimil Vodárek, CSc.
The aim of this thesis is to describe the material design of the key components of the wind turbines, to achieve their desired mechanical properties and applications of corrosion protection on the key components to ensure their reliable service throughout the life time of the wind turbines W2000SPG.
The first part is devoted to basic concepts in the field of wind energy and the wind power plant W2000SPG description. The other part deal with properties of steel and cast iron used to manufacture key components and their corrosion protection.
The experimental part of the thesis deals with metallographic and fractographic analysis of a failured bolt ISO4017 M36x310 made of the 34Cr4 steel grade. The mechanism of the bolt failure in the assembly of the wind power plant W2000SPG in Janov near Litomyšl is determined.
